The Essex Marching Corps is a group of performing youth arts units. Not only do we have our flagship marching band but a collection of other ensembles and groups for all ages and interests.
Our Objective
To provide a safe and productive hobby for youngsters to learn musical or dance to a high standard in a fun, rewarding and enthusiastic environment.
Our Wider Social Objectives
Our wider social objectives are that ANY child should have access to our activity regardless of family or financial circumstances. We also are passionate that all children have access to the world recognised ABRSM musical exam qualifications regardless as to family or financial restrictions.
Performance and Opportunity
We are passionate that our ensembles perform to the community and wider public as much as possible. Performing some 50 public performances per year we provide as many opportunities for our members to perform all over the country. We also ensure that our members have the opportunity to participate within exemplary training opportunities with the wider musical community as well as in financial and project management, youth leadership and mentoring. This ensures that our youngsters can take a fundamental role in developing our organisation for the future. We believe that these passions are key to creating a group ethic that builds relationships and pride to support youngsters as they mature into well rounded adults. |
