Membership

As a member you will receive tuition and instruction in brass, woodwind or percussion instruments. If you do not have an instrument of your own we will provide one free of charge. We also teach many forms of dance utilising equipment such as flags and sabres.

Instrument Loan

The corps does operate an instrument loan service. We can provide instruments to anyone at very competative prices. Please email us for further details.

Performances

The corps can perform at many different events. Previous performances include Channel 4's Popworld, Basildon Musician of the Year awards, numerous carnivals and fetes. The corps are able to tailor their performances for your event, please see our performing section for further infomation.

FEB 2010 BREAKING NEWS!!!!- Launch of New Junior Flag Dance Club & Drumline Club

The corps is delighted to announce the launch of our new junior clubs on Monday 10th May 2010. The clubs will be a great opportunity for children from the age of 6 to participate within drumming or dance activities at an introductory level. The clubs will be held on Mondays from 6.15pm to 7.15pm in the Central Gym, King John School, Benfleet. The clubs will be supervised by our band leader with the help of our senior members. Members are very excited about welcoming new recruits into the club as well as helping to instruct them in the activities they love. If your child would like to attend please contact Bandmaster Hayley Meagher 07882 789928 to put your childs name on the register. Membership in May is free!!!! - £6 per month from 1st June.

Essex Marching Corps, Isle of Wight Tour 2010

EMC is very excited to announce that we are touring the Isle of Wight from the 20th to 27th August 2010! THis is the first tour that the band has undertaken and we hope to take about 35 youngsters plus adults. We are therefore accepting bookings on the isle during this time, if you would like to book us please do not hesitate to contact us.
